About the Author
Ken Palmer lives in middle Tennessee with his beautiful wife and daughters.

He is the author of, a successful Christian website with over 2.7 Million visitors since it's inception in 1998.

A graduate of David Lipscomb University, Ken is a Senior Web Developer. In his spare time, Ken is an amateur gardener and tree planter (17 trees to date in his back yard, and still counting).

He uses a large personal library of commentaries and study guides to prepare Bible lessons that he writes for and for the Sunday morning Bible class he regularly teaches.

Ken is a member of the church of Christ, which is a non-denominational church with the tenet of "Speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent." Hopefully the content at reflects that principle.

The purpose of is to present the life of Jesus in a clear, easy-to-read style that's especially suitable for internet readers. The goal is to create a good general reference guide that uses the 4 gospels as its primary source of information. The target audience is the average reader looking for more information about Jesus.

The purpose of the site is not to highlight differences between religious views. There are enough divisions in the religious world.

We hope that can be used as a resource by believers from a variety of denominational backgrounds. Emails received from visitors over the past few years are a testament to this goal. Numerous positive emails have been sent from church leaders and members of many different denominations. Requests to use the material in Bible schools, colleges, high schools, and other settings are received on a regular basis from teachers who find the site useful.

The general pattern of the site's articles is to first present the facts as given in the gospels, and then to provide clarifying comments where needed. These comments are given with the understanding that they are no substitute for the Word of God.

As to the scholarship, the author employs a variety of commentaries and Bible aids. Hard study and personal insight is also part of the mix. Commentaries often provide unique insights into scripture, but must always be weighed carefully in light of the whole counsel of God. Any commentary ultimately provides an educated, and hopefully well researched, opinion of scripture.

The number of Bible resources consulted for any article varies with the complexity of the material. For example, virtually no commentaries were used to write the 5-page life of Jesus summary. Eight commentaries are in the bibliography for the Rich Man & Lazarus parable. And, probably 40 or more Bible resources were consulted when the genealogy article was written.

Granted, there is content on the site which some people disagree with. But it's natural to expect disagreement, especially on the World Wide Web. is just one small resource in understanding more about the Lord.

We hope the above answers questions you may have about, and gives you a measure of confidence in recommending it to your friends and family.
